I love Bluey! I'm not a parent or a young child, I just came across it on tv a few years ago and loved it ever since. As some other comments have said, it's a really comforting and wholesome show, while also being entertaining and funny. It is a shame that the game didn't have as much care put into it as the show. I still want to get it, but I'm waiting until I can find it cheaply secondhand, because it's absolutely not worth the full price. I think a *few* of the issues can be explained or let slide by the game being aimed at toddlers, like the other characters playing keepy-uppy for you so you can't "lose". Which I think is at least understandable, even though I don't personally think it would've been a bad thing to just have it say "oh no, try again" or something. And with the sticker animations, very young kids might be more likely to be like "yay a sticker!" rather than "oh no, I have to sit through this full animation again?". But then again, they could have at least made it skippable, so anyone who did enjoy seeing the animation every time could let it play out, and everyone else could skip it. Those are pretty much the only things I think could be explained as deliberate choices though; everything else seems like a lack of care and effort, which I would guess the developers probably justified to themselves like "who cares about the lip syncing and weird animations, 4 year olds won't notice that", but that's not a good reason to just phone it in and release the game with a bunch of problems and glitches.

About Silver: personally, if I could, I would've made it so Silver only goes back in time once, in his first post-06 game _(whether that's Rivals 1 or something better in terms of story),_ then once he goes back to his time period ("the future"), he finds out that because he changed the course of history, the future he remembers no longer exists and as such nobody recognizes him there. As such, he decides to stay in Sonic's present, as at least there he has people he knows and who know him. It's a bit of a sad way to end his arc and it removes a big part of what makes him special (not to mention it makes potential Silver spin-off game that takes place in his time period impossible), but I think it's still a worthy trade-off for a somewhat reasonable story and justification for Silver's constant inclusion. Not only would it hit harder and feel more genuine, but it would also in a way reflect the player's feelings. They've only been able to play Sonic two or three times near the beginning of the game, so as fun and novel playing as other characters presumebly is, being able to play as Sonic again would be _so_ satisfying. Which is a really strange thing to think about. 😅 The whole rewrite feels like a response to the _lack_ of non-Sonic playable characters in the recent *years,* yet it only takes one "game" of some good, honest non-Sonic gameplay to make you miss playing as the Blue Blur himself... but not in a "Sonic was more fun, I don't want to play as his stupid friends anymore" way. That's a great narrative _(is that the right word in this case?)_ accomplishment. 1:01:03-1:03:40 I love how everything just happens to come together perfectly in this explaination. Even without all that, I just love the idea of Orbot and Cubot piloting Egg Dragoon. It would even fit in pretty well in the real game, considering how weirdly goofy the fight is. Plus, while he doesn't say it in the Japanese script, in the English one, Eggman says he "doesn't have time for this", so it makes sense that he'd leave the job to his two dumb henchmen. I'd love to see them stumble around in the Dragoon as well as the wrecking ball Eggmobile. 1:04:30 Oh yeah, the Rookie! You made me realise how little they actually appear in your rewrite. Honestly, if it wasn't for the fact that you'd need someone to take their place in Team Sonic-without-Sonic, it seems like so far they could be removed without many issues. I'll see if that changes later on, but an unfortunate side-effect of wanting to give more focus to other characters, you took away much of the spotlight from the Avatar. I get why - you want this to feel like a team effort and it doesn't make much sense that a newbie would be able to contribute so much in such a dire situation - but I feel like the real game did the right thing in this one case. When I first experienced Forces for real, the first two Avatar stages plus the first tag team stage gave off this pleasant feeling of joy, They really made you feel like your childhood dream of working next to Sonic, your hero, has become a reality. This is what - at least so far - seem to be missing from the Avatar portion of the game and the rewrite as a whole. 1:07:15 THIS is pretty much what I thought Null Space should've been in the real game. Sonic and Avatar stumbling around the void, slowly losing hope, before Avatar pulls out his Phantom Ruby Prototype, which, alongside another Double Boost, lets them get out of their dimensional prison. Still short, but feels more meaningful. Your version meanwhile is even better in that regard, mostly due to the "losing hope" portion being stretched over the course of half of the game it seems. 1:09:44 I'm not sure why, as I can't actually recall any concrete examples of this, but it seems like when it comes to rewrites of Sonic games, the ARK is the "ol' reliable" problem solver. The thing I hate about Mortimer Freeze is that on Simple Mode, the snowman is split into two phases, one where he does the fridge attack, which mind you, was most likely not very much designed to be used so extensively, and the other one where he does his rolling attacks. It took me six attempts to beat him. Not even Ester Winchester gave me that much trouble.

Can I say something about the ost? Cause first thing you know when listening to the game's music is almost close to that of Sonic Mania but out of nowhere is say Press Factory Zone, it then cuts to the god awful Sonic 4 soundfont for the entirety of the second half of the story. And now SEGA literally bamboozled us into thinking it was a pseudo sequel to Mania and at launch it is suddenly disguised as Sonic 4 Ep III. Like, Jun should go back to playing the guitar and never touch the Sonic 4 synth keyboard.

I recently played this game for the first time and I gotta say…I hate this game and don’t see the hype at all. The voice acting sucks, the physics feel like they’ve never been properly tested before release, Omachao, and so many other reasons. If I were to make something like this I would just make a video essay about what’s actually wrong with this game But because you mostly focus on story in this video the Shadow Android stuff is the dumbest shit in any Sonic game. It comes out of nowhere and is never resolved. It’s only resolved in Shadow the Hedgehog which means you not only have to purchase an entirely separate game but a game you have to grind repeatedly for days just to get the true ending for where only THEN you’ll see that the Shadow we’ve been playing as was the real Shadow
